Hi folks. I'd like to talk to you all about a very important project which is being run by a few good friends of mine. The Polarised Project is a documentary about LGBTQ* mental health. Further details of the 'ins and outs' can be found on the Indiegogo page as well as the main website; alternatively, take a look at the promotional video below.
Video (Above) © The Polarised Project (Promotional Video) | The team behind The Polarised Project are all working very hard, on a voluntary basis, to make this documentary a reality. However, as with any thing of this nature, it needs finance; it needs your help. The Indiegogo campaign has already raised £1255.00 since 25 April, but is far from its target of £5000.00. Even as little as £1 will help this project to get off to a good start; or, rather than donating (or as well as), you could support the project simply by sharing it in your social media networks.
As an individual with chronic depression and anxiety, having first hand experience of the stigma and discrimination relating to mental health, it's still difficult to explain how much projects like this mean to me personally. Each experience of mental health is unique, but unfortunately the recurring lack of understanding and support is not.
Donate. Retweet. Share. Repeat. That's all it takes.
